When we launched the BlueSky initiative in the fall of 2019, our goal was to address a major gap in mental health resources for youth in California, where schools average just one counselor for every 612 students. The industry standard is one counselor for every 250 students.

With a year under our belt, we’re pleased to report the program is making great strides:

  • Several thousand professional counseling sessions with youth have taken place.
  • Hundreds of teachers, administrators and other caring adults have been trained to spot the signs of mental health concerns in youth and provide support.
  • Launched a first-of-its-kind digital mental health guide created for youth by youth.

Most importantly, youth are finding the relief they need during an especially stressful time.
